# Anatomical crown attribution

The 14 lower crown meshes in anatomical-crowns.json are adapted from ToothFairy3 case F_026, by Federico Bolelli, Luca Lumetti, Shankeeth Vinayahalingam and colleagues, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2025).

The adapted crown meshes remain under CC BY-SA 4.0. Changes made for FORMA: extracted lower crowns, cropped roots, oriented each crown using the published derived axes, independently resized crowns to an illustrative arch, adjusted arrangement, applied smoothing and added illustrative enamel materials. Gingiva and appliances are separately generated illustrative geometry. The arrangement is a design visualization, not a faithful reconstruction of the source person's mouth or a clinical model. No endorsement by the source authors is implied.

Blender refinement: smoothing, subdivision and decimation of adapted crowns; derived thin polymer shells. The derivative anatomical geometry and shells inside assets/blender/*.glb and blender/*-refined.blend are distributed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Mechanical components are newly generated illustrative geometry.

September 14 update: increased buccolingual crown thickness and rounded facial/lingual surfaces around each tooth's own center; rebuilt derived polymer shells to follow the modified crowns.
Further refinement: sculpted lingual marginal ridges, cervical cingula and shallow fossae on anterior crowns; these adapted crown meshes also appear in the interactive implant vignette.
